Some good news from Egypt
We passed into Egypt a few days ago through Sollum.
The good news is that there was not much hassle getting through. The whole thing took us only 2.5 hours. There was 7 EP per person and 6EP per car at the border, with official ticket. After that not a single penny was paid, nor asked for, apart from documented vehicle costs to cross.
Everything was very freindly, they even gave us lunch! We were 'issued' with our very own policeman who took us from point to point as we navigated our way around each department. The whole thing was very inefficient but there was never a time when we weren't doing something.
We were dreading the crossing after listening to other stories but it was all OK. Maybe a sign of things to come?
