Shipping the bike, but not yourself
Hi,

I am wondering if it'd be possible to send my bike home from India or Nepal, and continue travelling to SE-Asia myself.

More particularly, would I need to send the bike papers and carnet by courrier to a friend or agent, or how would they be able to clear customs in Belgium?

Anyone ever done this?

Hi,

You cound ship the bike and the Carned to Belgium but you will need somebody to pic it up at the harbor or airport and do the paperwork for you. In Europa therefore this person will need a power of authority and a copy of your passport.

This is Suraj from Eagle Export cargo of Nepal.As per our experience from many years,you can send your bike to your destination.Only the thing you need is the consignee name ,who goona to receive it.

Wanderer, I'm from Belgium and maybe I could just drive it home for you... ;-)
Get in touch if that's an option for you... will be cheaper than sending it home by air... ;-)
