East Africa - car or bike?
Hi all,
I have done some trips on very small displacement bikes and love travelling big distances like this. I don't consider myself a 'motorcyclist' (not interested in going around corners fast, farkles, Long Way Down etc). Based on some experiences from my past, I'm a bit scared of proper bikes. My girlfriend and I are considering doing the route across Europe and down the east side of Africa. I realise the kind of bike I enjoy riding probably won't carry both of us + luggage all that way. If I got a bigger bike, would I need thousands of miles of experience before riding it on dirt with a pillion? Or should we just take a car? James Last edited by jamlip; 15 Jan 2012 at 17:11.
