How Wonderful!
Just fantastic to see a "ladies corner" as it were!
I do have a few questions that some of us ladies must have had exprience with.
Where does one stow one's parasol on one's motorcycle?
Mine is quite big with lovely frills on and I'd be so lost without it.
Also, have any ladies have any advice on how to keep one's apron (lightweight one of coures) free from wrinkles?
Mine tends to get terribly creased when it's been packed away.

I'm very interested about your motorcycle Emily ; do you ride sidesaddle ?
I find ladies who ride astride to be rather vulgar .

Sidesaddle indeed!
What a wonderfully saucy question!
I did once explore the possibility of converting a motorcycle to allow side saddle riding.
Unfortunatley the "mechanic" that I'd engaged simply replied " It'll cost you a fair few quid mate, erm I mean madam"!
I was so utterly thrown by such a reply that I had to repose and take a gin and tonic! I think he may have been a "cockney"!
Since then I have grabbed the bull by the horns (so to speak) and am uttely committed to getting my leg over!
I hope to find like minded ladies with similar views in this arena of maledom!
But, a valid question none the less!

Other than taking the Butler with you? Stow in a plastic tube (obtain from the plumbing trade). Have said plastic tube attached to the motor bicycle, possibly parallel to the front forks, but I'm certain the motor bicycle trade person can take care of it.

These should be worn while riding the motor bicycle, similar to gentlemen's lap rugs.
One wonders if a motor bicycle etiquette guide book should be produced for the edification of the younger people.

Emily ,my dear , I believe I have found the perfect motorcycle for you , made by that very nice man Mr Honda . In fact I think he had you in mind when he produced the "Trans"Alp .
When you are mounted ,I think that you will find there are a multitude of little places to "stow your parasol ".

What an amusing little thread. It certainly made me giggle! I think possibly it could have stayed in the Bar and may be it should be moved there now. I do hope Emily is able to solve all her little quandaries.
Incidentally, Ted Simons did take an umbrella with him - genius, dry and shade, by the side of the road. I'm not sure he took an apron though.
