Talking Ozi Buying A Bike in Spain

G'day Fellow Thrill Seekers :-)

What a great web site this is.

I like all of you love to travel by bike, and usually just do my own thing in typical Ozi fashion, head first tackling the issues of international travel as they arise with little pre planning if any. I have never been without a bike since I was 14, unless it was stolen and in my book that doesn’t count.

I have kept a bike in Vienna, Austria with friends since 07, the K100RS is being put to pasture (86 model with UK plates and 75'000 K's if anyone is interested) for something a little more versatile. I am heading to Europe mid May and have found quite a few bikes in Spain that are well priced and wondered if anyone has recently gone through the process of buying in Spain?

My plan is to keep the bike in Europe for the next 2 years then plan a ride back home. Fortunately I have good friends in the UK, France, Germany and Austria where I can keep the bike between trips.

Stay upright, Cheers,

Dave.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
