Smile Hello from the Midlands, UK

Hello all.
Having been recently widowed I've decided that life is short and that opportunities should be grasped whenever available. My husband and I often toured Europe together but this year I've signed up to tour America and Canada, shipping my own KTM out there. It's labelled as being a 'once in a lifetime trip' however, I doubt very much that it'll happen only once, when I've been bitten by the bug.
Regards,
Jo

Welcome Jo, I'm from the Midlands as well and while a fine region in many ways, I do find it a bit drab and suffocating, which probably explains the desire to get away as often as possible

Sorry to hear about your recent loss, but great to see you're getting out there and travelling the world. And you're quite right about the travel bug.

Hope you'll keep us in touch with your adventures

Hi Senno, Thanks for the 'welcome' and good to connect with local folk as well as those far away. I'm really looking forward to seeing the world beyond Europe and will no doubt share my travel pics, as I'm always keen to see other people's fascinating stories/pictures too.

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
