A Newbie

Hi all thanks for adding me to the forum.
I have traveled to quite a few countries in my Land Rover 110 and visited the HUBBUK three times the latest being 2017.

I am also an avid biker although have mainly just cruised around the south of England on firstly a 30 year old Harley and more recently on a 2016 1200 custom model. I did Route 66 on a hired Harley in 2014 which reinvigorated my love of motorcycling.

I am currently in the market for a more adventure focused bike and want to travel extensively in Europe and North Africa as I've previously done in the Land Rover.

Over the next few weeks I will probably be asking some silly and pretty obvious questions.

Take your time, get out there and test ride as many bikes as you possibly can.
Just some GREAT choices! If leaving EU area going into N.Africa, think about something as least as capable as your Land Rover for off road or rough tracks.

My current favorite? New Honda Africa Twin. Great all around bike!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
