Shipping Motorcycle from Iran/UAE back to Germany

Hello Community.

I am planning to ride my motorcycle from Germany (Munic) to Iran next year May/June. Now im in the process to figure out how can I bring the bike back home. The idea was to ride from Iran to Dubai and ship it from there because I thought its more easy then from South Iran. The first Shipping Quote was nearly 2000 USD which sounds a lot.

Do you think I get a better Quote if I ship the bike from Iran?

Does somebody have experiance with Shipping a bike from Iran to south Germany?

Thanks and Regards
Markus

You would get a better quote from Turkey - Ankara or Istanbul. Dubai would need a boat to get to.

Howdy.

I just came back from Iran. I had my bike shipped from Tbilisi in Georgia to Ulm in Southern Germany for 740.- €. The bike was safely shipped in a wooden crate. I had nothing to worry about customs and importation.

Here are all the details of the shipping company.
