Hey we are in Santaigo, Chile.
We havent managed to sell the beast and we leave the country in 2 days. what are the chances of getting caught at the airport at customs and they ask about the bike? if anyone wants it, yamaha xj 900 with all the kit and she is an amazing bike, we are very sad she is hereany info would be awesome |

I imagine that you have tried to sell it to a dealer. Bikes are not cheap in Chile, so I'm sure someone will be willing to get it (maybe not, I ignore if the customs would be a pain; where is it registered?). Or try to park it (for sale) in a dealer till some foreigner arrives and you/they sell it to him. You could keep offering it on line.
If you want help with the language to write an add in a Chilian site, just let me know, I'm Spanish and would be have to give a hand. Or if you want to draft/sign some kind of contract with the dealer/private. In any case, keep the nice side/memories of the trip. Safe trip back, Esteban |

Do you have a friend there you can 'sell' it to and then park it in their garage for a return trip?
I guess if you are desperate you can track down a bike shop that wants it for parts, but I suspect there aren't that many Yam 900s running around Chile. You can always sell something if your price is low enough...

Could you do a deal with a bike shop or bike repairers to rent the bike to other tourists ?, it would give you some extra time and money till you find a buyer.
