Hi, Here in my country (Argentina) you can either share the ownership of any vehicle, meaning that the vehicle has to be registered to the name of BOTH owners, also indicating the % they own (like 50 / 50, 40 / 60, etc).
Vehicles have a green ID card here, and each of the owners gets one. In case there is only one owner, and one or more persons are authorized to drive it, the owner has to request a Blue ID card for the vehicle for EACH person authorized to do so. The person exhibiting a Green or Blue card can drive the vehicle inside the country and even cross borders with it.
Chile may have similar rules.
