Roads south out of Bolivia

We are 2-up on a Yamaha Super Ténéré and I really don't like deep sand or mud. Route 21 from Uyuni to Tupiza seems to be a mess under construction. Has anyone used route 14 from Potasi to Argentina lately? Or are we better to try to go to Chile rom Uyuni.

i drove route 14 from uyuni to tupiza in august.

just the first part was sandy and a "desvio". Later it becomes better.

it was not as dificult as from vila mar to uyuni or some other streets in bolivia. but we needed almost 8 h for the 220km ride.

on the way there have been also a barrier in one little village where we had to pay 10 bolivianos because of 3 unkind men blocking the street with an ironchain. take care of yourself
