Albert we haven`t met yet, but, I will be riding North through Peru in May. Where abouts are you?

I rode with Ian C for awhile and bumped into Helge, Mark, and Ryan in Ushuaia.

Shipping my bike from Miami to Quito

Hello Albert,

I am planning a similar trip like that of BWOB to do volunteer work in South America. I have some family in Quito, however, they do not have any experience with shipping and customs from the US. I found some companies in Miami that will ship the bike. Do you have any recommendations? I plan to take off in the fall. Thank you!

Victor

Hmm

The only way to bring a bike into Ecuador is a temporary import and that will allow the bike to be here for six months only!!! As far as transport companies I know a lot of people have experience with GIRAG who ship from Panama as for Miami I have no idea there, maybe Girag have an office.
Best of luck!

I will definitely plan the next trip at a slower pace. I know there is plenty to enjoy.
