VIDEO - Dual Sport Modifications for Adventure Motorcycling

With my last video achieving more that 100,000 views, its time to present my latest video:-

“ Dual Sport Modifications for Adventure Motorcycling ”

In this video I’ve outline some of the modifications I’ve made to my dual sport Suzuki DRZ ready for an off road adventure motorcycling trip to the Spanish Pyrenees Mountains.

I’m sure most of the modification would suit any dual sport motorbike.

Please enjoy

width ?

Hi
Nice and clean job on this DRZ.
I am thinking seriously about buying a GLoop COYOTE which I had seen on KTM' in Zagora , in extend of my Wolfmann tank bag and bag on the rear( army style stuff) maybe not necessary .
In oueds with rocks, the hard saddles wont' fit : nothing more in width than your legs .
Also i will certainly take a new higher handlebar , mine is too low for standing a long time
and the tube on the front mudguard isa very good idea .
One other thing i have seen is the water reserve low close to the engine .
What is sure is that our DRZ' are VERY good for the job !!!
Even if it took me some oil ( 0,6 L in 1800 km )
Next step will be , if possible
rear mud guard of a "E" and less eletric stuff . ; no more turn signals.

After preparing my “Dual Sport Motorcycle”, this is the video of it being used on a 3 week “Adventure Motorcycle” trip from England through France down to the Pyrenees Mountain off road playground of Andorra and Northern Spain.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
