Drill airbox - rejet necessary?

I have the tank off my KLE and I want to drill a hole or holes in the airbox (it's one of the newer small airboxes). Anyway, I was just wondering how big or how many holes I can get away with without having to rejet. I am a bit of a dummy when it comes to carbs so don't fancy tinkering with it.

Hi

Instead of ugly drilling and guessing, why dont you try the "rimfire" conversion. Looks neater and its tried and tested. You will have to put the larger snorkel on and of course re-jet/re-needle. Well worth it though.

In which case you shouldn't mess with the airbox....

Thanks Spye. I was hoping to get a cheap and easy power bump, but life's never that simple, eh. I will definitely do the airbox, snorkel and rejet on my next KLE.
