We use TipTop ATV/Quad repair kits. Very easy to use without even taking the tyre off the rim. I keep similar kits (different manufacturer) in stock for £15 + postage. PM me if you want one.

exuse the pun,
but a quick plug for Cliff Batley and his shop "Two Wheel Trekkers" www.twotrekkers.co.uk they had a stand at the recent ripley gathering and donated a tyre repair kit which includes a micro electric pump to the raffle,
see: Xplorermoto: Jesse Luggage Accessories
I was fortunate enough to win this prize and would like to thank him for his genorosity. its a fine piece of equipment, which is reasonably priced which is why I would recomend it

Beading a tubeless tyre

One trick I found to be good is to wrap a ratchet strap around the tyre and tighten it up. This reduces the space between the tyre and rim for inflation.

One other point - on a hot day the gas escaping from those CO2 canisters will freeze the head of the release mechanism (metal ones) and waste the CO2 - best to have a reliable 12v compressor.

Cheers Ben.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
