These have been doing the rounds (Adv rider, XRV.org.uk..ect) I know one guy at least on XRV is importing them at 12£ a pop (price is a few months old so dont quote me)..
For Sale: Tool Tubes - If enough interest? - Honda Trail Bike Forums you can also find them on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tool-Tube-plastic-canister-with-screw-top-Tooltube_W0QQitemZ250311915364QQcmdZViewItem?hash= item250311915364&_trkparms=72%3A1301|39%3A1|66%3A2 |65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XRV-Africa-twin-Transalp-KTM-BMW-GS-DR-XR-XL-Tool-Tube_W0QQitemZ190260368524QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 190260368524&_trkparms=72%3A1301|39%3A1|66%3A2|65% 3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 I got a few (4) shipped to a fried in the USA and he sent them over to me and it came out at about 7£ each... Two things: i have found wrong with them... 1) they are not as easy to place on my bike as I have seen others do.. and 2) which is the big one.. I have not firgured out a way to lock em with out carrying even more bloody keys for pad locks... grrrrr !!!! |

I made one of these in Argentina..
Very cheap, sturdy and simple... One length of sewage pipe or thick drainpipe. 2 x Push on ends. 2 x large jubilee clips for securing the ends onto the pipe. 2 x large jubilee clips for securing the actual tube onto the bike. Drill a small hole in the pipe or one of the ends to allow the air to escape as you press the end on. I would be thief would need a screwdriver and the inclination to steal an odd looking piece of drainpipe.. I left mine on the bike throughout South America and never got a glance.
