Bluetooth helmet

Does anyone know of a helmet that has bluetooth alredy built into it when it is bought?

There is a cheap one on sale in Denmark at the moment but the design leaves a lot to be desired.

I am looking for a quality helmet with a quality bluetooth set up otherwise I will have to get the bluetooth system and add it to my existing helmet.

We have used both the Schuberth and the Nolan.

Schuberth, great helmet, lousy bluetooth. Short range (8 m.), short battery life (6-7 hrs) and extremely hard to turn on and off with the remotes. Only the remotes can turn on, off or adjust volume and are very difficult to use, especially in sunlight. Must be installed by dealer and are expensive.

Nolan, good helmet, good bluetooth. Range up to 30 m. and battery life of up to about 10 hrs. Buttons on side of helmet are easy to use even when wearing the helmet. Self install and moderate cost.

Both require recharging daily which can be difficult while on the road for extended times. We have built 12 v. chargers and can use the bike battery for recharging overnight and have a couple of small holders for AA batteries that can plug in to the charger cord for extended use when the internal battery dies.

Dainese Bluetooth

Personally, I hate the idea of in-helmet comms, but in the spirit of cameraderie, I read this thread a while ago about Dainese Bluetooth helmets:

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ight=bluetooth

It might be another worth considering.

Indoors.

P.S. Did a bit more digging: DAINESE - Collezioni - scheda articolo: AIRSTREAM COURSE Bluetooth®

Got to admit, it's a pretty good-looking helmet. List price in UK is £299.

bluetooth

My wife and I have had the Nolan and used it for 3 months travel in South America. You do need to recharge them daily but that was never a problem. Self installed them and have had no problem. The nolan helmets are the flip face which we really liked.
