Guatemala to Honduras Border crossing
Crossed the Border coming from Guatemala to Honduras today at Florida / Copan.
Guatemalan side - very friendly lady at vehicle export, friendly guy at immigration - no helpers at all - money changer rates ok - total time: 15mins - total costs: 10 Quetzales - copies: import form x3, driver license x1, passport x1, vehicle title x1 Hondurian side - friendly guy at imigration 60 Lempras - friendly guy at vehicle import - lots of copies, guatemalan vehicle export paper x3, passport x3, driver license x3, vehicle title x3, new honduras vehicle import + passport entry x3 135 Lempras for temp. vehicle import + 526 Lempras for ? Paperwork / Admin? (got a receipt - says something about filling out dates and something) total time 1:15 hours All in all - very easy crossing - clean - little traffic - no helpers - got there at 14:30 - got out about 16:00. Very nice to read this Lucky in amongst some of the horror stories you hear.
We will be done there in two to three months so slowly gathering info on good places to make life as easy as possible so thanks for sharing.
