concept BMW R 95 G/S

Hi Folks,

just before I left Germany two months ago I found a very nice article about a concept, what BMW is looking for.

They call it the R 95 G/S considering to the old 80 and 100's. Because they have no Boxer in the 800 - 1000 ccm-class they want to fill this gap with that bike (maybe!?)
I really like the drawing and what was written in the magazine about the technical details. around 90 hp, but still around 200kg.
If they will ever built that bike, I would bye it!!

Maybe someone else has even more information or details...?

Ciao Alex

Heart says wow, head says why.

Isn't this a market splitter? The bloke who must have a shaft drive flat twin buys an R1200GS. The bloke who wants to ride and needs lightness and doesn't have three thumbs to work the indicators and might just as easily buy a Triumph/Yamaha/Honda/Suzuki gets an F800GS. There can't be that many people dithering between the two who won't buy one or the other is there?

Or, did they fall out with Rotax again?

Andy
