9th Annual Viedma Argentina Travellers Meeting

2012 event information

Location for 2011 was in La Boca, the "Los Trentinos" campground as in previous years.

Meeting Report from Oscar and Family:

Camila, Oscar's eldest daughter, wrote: "The meeting was fantastic, great people! I was really happy to be part of it, after 4 years missing them because of my studies! All the best, big hug from the whole family!

The Meeting was terrific, with people from all over the world. The weather wasn't always good but it didn't blow the good mood away! Thank you for being here and sharing a wonderful weekend with us, we were pleased to meet you! Sorry if some things didn't go well! Happy trips and enjoy!

Everything is based at the Campground, location details below.

Camp ground per person per day Arg$10.00. One time charge for tenting for the 3 days $10.

Note that your map may say "Balneario Massini" for those coordinates. Whatever, it's at the mouth of the Rio Negro.

Getting There - GPS, Maps

40° 49' South 62° 59' West.

Viedma is right on the main highway heading south from Buenos Aires. Hard to miss! You shouldn't have a problem finding the campsite once you get there, just ask for the "campground by the river". Phone Oscar for information if you have trouble. 02920-424096.

Other Accommodation Possibilities

There are hotels in town, shouldn't be a problem.
