Viedma is located on the main road down the coast from Buenos Aires en route to Ushuaia, and is the location of the Argentina HU Travellers Meeting every year.

Aerial photo of Viedma and Patagones, twin cities founded by Francisco de Biedma. In 1879 was made the first Patagonic government here in Viedma.
