Yamaha XTZ850 (TRX)
Back in 2001, I was offered an ex-Peterhansel TRX-engined XTZ for a very good price. Right bike, wrong place, wrong time - we were in the parc ferme at Lac Rose, the bike had just taken a three-week beating in the world's sexiest race, and I was headed way down south on my XT600. But I've always wondered if that was a massive blunder. And I can't stop wondering if there are any XTZ850s still about, and if so, what kind of price do they fetch, what kind of nick are they in and how do they feel to ride these days? Anyone got any clues?
