Xt600E fuel tank

Hey guys. I want to know if the gas tank of the 2003 XT600E will fit on the frame of a 1990 XT600E. will it? If not, What would be the specific problem?

Thanks,

Vando

replace tank

frame are surely similar or the same. But you will have to change all plastics and seatpost together with the frame... Maybe some of the attaching point are different, but if you have all I think you can manage to arrange it.

Otherwise get an acerbis tank for your model, about 300 euro new, 100\150 second hand.

Yes, but with tank you must change side covers, seat and tail. Seat, tank and side covers will fit perfectly, but tail will not so you will have to improvise.

I did something similar - fitted 1998 parts on 992 bike.
