Question TT600 gearbox disaster

Hi guys
I blew up the gearbox on my 98 Belgarda TT600 and need to replace inner casings and a range of clusters etc. My problem is the rarity of parts for this bike. What I wanted to know is what other year models (XT/TT) can be used on this motor. Like will the parts from a 1990 XT fit this bike? I will appreciate any help I can get .

Regards

Sharksarse

Don't worry

Most parts will be interchangeable.
If you check www.kedo.de (in german), their catalogue page 89 gives an overview of the parts for the XT/TT6 gearbox parts and interchangeability. They do not list the shafts however. It might be that they are indeed different, it can also be that they just changed the part numbers but that the parts ar physically identical.
Anyway, it seems unlikely that shafts from any XT will not fit into a TT engine casing. So, that's a matter of trying.

I will also try to mail you fiches from a TT and a Tenere model so you can see yourself.

How many Kms did your TTR600 have on it before it blew up ? I am presuming it was the 5th gear that went ? Did the gearbox get a hard time during its life or was it age that led it it grenading ?

I am curious as i have an 01 ttr600

Cheers
Doug
