Touratech Ali Boxes

Hi,
I currently run an R1150 GS which I get on well with on the road but not off road, I'm thinking about getting an XT 600 E and kitting it out for Iceland / Morocco offroad trips and my question is does anyone know whether my aluminium Touratech panniers on my BM will fit onto the Touratech pannier rack frame on an XT ? I could ask Touratech but I expect they'd try to sell me a couple of new panniers !!

Hi Forestry,
Thanks for the response, when I order them I'll check it out with TT, this years big caper is three weeks in Morocco in october ( on the GS), the Iceland trip I'm looking at july 2008 - so I've got plenty of time to get an XT prepped up. As you probably find yourself one big trip per year takes up pretty much all of one years holiday entitlement. For the Morocco trip I'm biking down to Plymouth getting the ferry to Santander (Spain) biking down to Algeceiras, across to Ceuta and on into Morocco where I'm hooking up with Moto Morocco (who organise a two week tour there)then the wife is flying out to meet us in Marrakech for a few days, and the back home via Spain etc - 22 days holiday in one go ! ( hoorah ).
How easy/expensive is it getting over to Iceland ? Are you planning on much offroad ? I'd be interested to hear about your plans.
Cheers Mike
