starter motor
Hi,
hope someone can help. i am having erratic problems with starting my bike - a XT600 year 1998. sometimes, nothing happens when i press the start button and i have to put the bike in gear and push. Then put it back in neutral and then when i press the switch, it works again. i am thinking that the brushes of the starter motor might be the cause of the problem. if yes, do i need to remove the exhaust to be able to have access to the starter motor? the nuts on the exhaust pipes are pretty rusted and i am scared of getting them stuck in the cylinder while trying to remove them. thanks in advance for the help JMR |
