Rusty xt600e wheels
Hi folks,
I'm looking for advice on cleaning up my 2001 xt600e wheels. The rims are starting to rust and it's bugging me. I don't want to autosol them as I reckon the rust will be back in 5 mins. I'm not even so bothered about the look. It's just that the salty winter roads up here in Scotland will destoy them. Can anyone suggest something I can use to stop the rot? Thanks

inside or outside?
Inside is a problem, clean them throughly and apply some rust converter, then some silicone to nipples to make them waterproof.
Outside the best thing to avoid rust in winter is to have wheel greasy, some chain lube (sticky) passed with a brush can help.. Also some vaseline for front wheel is ok
