Raptor barrel & head on a XT???

I'm currently elbow deep in my gearbox swap on my old XT600 and had a thought.

I have another gearbox that I could have a mess about with and thought about putting a Raptor barrel and Raptor 5 valve head (that I can get for a good price) on and would see what happened.

Is this possible? Before I spend a load of money I can't really afford (and my wife kills me)

Tom

I dont think it will work on the XT600 as they are 2 totally different engines (air/oil cooled, to the raptors water cooled engine). On the . : XT660.com The #1 xt660 resource : . | The #1 xt660X, xt660R and xt660Z Tenere resource forum there is a guy in aussie land who has changed the barrel and top end of his Xt660x for the one on a raptor and its seems to be going well after some messing around but he broke his ankle so hasnt had time to get it on a dyno and test it out yet.
