R1 bliners

could i put late model blinkers from an r1 on my 86 xt 600? all i would have to do is match up the power and groung right? or is there a third or more wire i would have to worry about?

All the indicators I have met have had one or two wires. Either a positive and negative (just join 'em up), or positive only (positive to positive, and the light is earthed by contact between the fitting and the frame). Either way it's easy. The only issue would be if your 86 bike was 6v rather than 12v. My memory doesn't go that far back.
