Hi all. I've got oil seeping from the crankcase joint on my 55W. Its at the very front, just where the frame bolts to the engine. It can't be much as I'm checking the oil level regularly, and it isn't going down. A little goes a long way. Is there any substance I can smear over the join, which will set, and seal the "hole". I really don't want to take the engine out and break it, as I only had a top end rebuild a short while ago.

If its just "sweating" i would not worry about it. If it trickles or seeps you could try an oil additive ( seal sweller) sonax is one brand. i havent tried it myself, but it could be worth a shot
