Larger tank for an '87xt600 2KF
I have just bought myself an '87 xt600 2KF and am looking for a larger tank.
Having looked at previous posts, it seems that the '83-'85 34L Tenere tank might be the best fit. Has anyone fitted this to a 2KF, and if so, does it require much modification. Is it also necessary to add a fuel pump? I had a look at some of the Acerbis tanks, but couldnt find a model that seems to fit the 2KF - any suggestions? cheers |

Specific Acerbis model for 2KF was available, sometimes they appear on ebay. Set a saved search and wait if u r not in a hurry.
Or you can post on xt600.de small market\search. With any other model installation is not so easy, and probably need to replace seatpost together.

I put a Ténéré 28 l tank on my 2KF. You need te replace the seat by a Ténéré model too .
Some modifications to the frame to fix the tank are also necessary but they are not that difficult. |
