carburettor 3Ds

Hi!
I have the 3DS '89 Tenere model. I suspect it lacks (a lot of) power due to the settings / jets etc. in the carburettor that were made for Switzerland. I am thinking to change all that to those for the 3AJ.
Question is: is the carburettor on 3DS the same as the one on the 3AJ, if so are the jets and needles different and can I put in those from 3AJ?
If I do that, any other things I need to change?

And last question: what are the other differences between 3DS and 3AJ, except for the headlight?

regards,
Auke

Hi.
I have got a 3DS too, can't help you on the carburettor question, but here are the differences i know of

3DS (Made only for Switzerland + Norway):
Engine painted all-black - not silver.
Smaller oil cooler.
Different primary transmission (15/45 sprockets as secondary transmission will only give you 90-100 Kph @ 5000-5500 Rpm, not very useful, I tried that assuming primary ratio was same as 3AJ :-) I use 15/39 know.)

I have never felt any lack of power, but then again, I have never tried a 3AJ.
