basic mechanic course for xt600 wanted
we are a group of 3 overlanders based in london planning a trans-africa trip later this year.
we are looking for someone in london (preferably the south west) who can give us a basic mechanic course for a yamaha tenere xt600 (pre-90's model - we have 88 bikes). we are looking for mainly the basics, as follows: • puncture repair • oil change • oil & air filter change • cable change (brake, clutch, accelerator) • spark plug change but if possible we would also be interested in more advanced aspects of the bikes maintenance. if you might be able to help us out with this, please contact me, and we can arrange a reasonable price, time, place, etc. safe riding!

check your local tech colleges: maybe via websearch or by prospectus. a friend of mine did one in tottenham.
for your information: i did a course at tamworth college (nr birmingham), which is of course not much use to you, but maybe for others who live in the midlands. the people were excellent. good luck cb

You could try the college and get hold of one of the bike mechanic tutors and ask them if they'd be interested in providing you with a days course, just for your group?
