Any Differences between UK and Italian Teneres?

Does anyone know if there are any major differences between Tenere's built for the Italian market and ones built for the UK?

I have just brought and stripped down a '88 model which was imported from Italy.
Some of the Yamaha parts dealers I've spoken to are telling me that there are differences between the bikes and so cannot gaurantee that the parts I buy will fit.

Apart from the odo/speedo being different, I can't imagine there being any differences at all.
Any comments?

Hi
The main differences are speedo and headlamp dip.
If you buy a Yam parts fiche there are extra pages that list these sort of differences.
Basically just order the parts for a standard 3AJ model and dont mention it is an import.
If you have any problems let me know.
Cheers.
David Lambeth.
