21" Front wheel spoke sizes?

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a few spare spokes for my upcoming trip. Central Wheel Components have the spec for spokes on the 17" rear, but not for the 21" front.

With only a ropey old tape measure my ability to accurately measure the spoke dimensions is a bit limited.

Does anyone happen to know the correct dimensions? Length, thickness, angle of bend, length of bend?

Cheers!

Hehe - you'll have to wait until I rebuild my front wheel! They didn't know the rear wheel measurements until I sent them a sample recently, so that's where they got those from (and they are the right ones, by the way, and fit perfectly).

Seriously, the only way they would do it with me was to see an actual sample - dimensions over the phone weren't good enough. And a good thing too, as I had made an error in the description which they picked up and corrected. As I have said in another thread, a great product, but not the quickest service.

I am quite surprised that they don't keep dimensions in a catalogue somewhere, especially for a popular bike like the XT range.

Specs

Here are some specs I acquired from a reputable wheel builder but do not know how the spokes work until I have the funds. This is for a 1993 XT600E to fit both OEM and Excel dimpled rims on standard hubs. Hope it helps.
