Underwear
Hi
I love my baselayer thin tops that keep me warm/cool- one is an adidas tennis top, a couple of cheepy Karrimor running tops. etc. These are great, because if they get a bit ming/dirty, I can rinse them under a tap/stream with a bit of soap, hang them up and they'll be dry for the morning. However, I'm looking for comfy bra type thing that are made out of the same fabric so I can rinse them too, i've got to find some unpadded ones because I'm guessing padded ones take an age to dry out. Any suggestions of where I can get something like this from? I'm quite a large size and need something quite supportive. Might go on the hunt for sports bras and see how I get on. I've got those stretchy seamless knicker shorts but by the time you couple these with bike trousers/waterproofs, these are really comfy, but worse than cotton pants IYSWIM.

further to this, my tesco seamfree synthetic pants are comfy, but rather thick. I have found some thinner ones in Decathlon- running knickers, they seem to pack up into less space. I'll give these a go and report back.
Any other opinions on travel knickers?

Ah the knickers issue....
When spending some days up tp 8 or 10 or even 12 hours sitting on the saddle, this can become indeed a BIG issue. I've have not been able over the years to come with one style or brand that would be comfi to ride for such long times. The seam get into the flesh and can be very painful. My approach is to shift the styles day over day. I got standard stuff from M&S. One day wear cotton hig legs, next day midi style, next short style etc... seams on thos are tiny. M&S has a series of shorts in synthetic that has the edge of the legs with a sort of lace which makes it less likely that would cause any discomfort. I found "invisible" seamless knickers tend to chaft!  Wearing riding long Johns ( DL Comfort is an excellent choice ) help as well. I think they do them now for women fit (with a gusset in the middle) which can be a good choice. I wore mine ("the old unisex version" - i.e. for men) with my usual underwear and found it makes another layer that can help make riding more comfortable. With the gusset version it should be possible to stick pantyliners on them and then no need for knickers. that is probably the best solution.

I'm lucky I guess as I just wear my usual "skiddies" and have no issues, even after 12 hours in the saddle. However, my "sensitive" friend swears by Rukka underwear. These are seamless. They're also probably the only bit of Rukka gear most of us can afford!!

Not sure if this topic ll relevant, but I can recommend the ASDA range of sports bras for the princely sum of £4. Cotton with vents, easy care and fast drying (unless you are somewhere very damp). And they make them in small to large sizes too, up to 42 E I believe. I wear them on long journeys and have yet to find them uncomfortable. I've tried other more expensive brands but always return to these

for me, it's not a big thing. Due to my small size I can were the very cheap things from "zeeman" (if you live in belguim/netherlands). Beside that, we have a very good belguim brand "Marie-Jo" the designed a bra that is promoted by Yanina Wickmaeyer, the belguim tennisgril. I thing it is cald Marie-Jo Adventure. maybe you can try that one. Succes! ils

Mrs Selous here, I have 'normal' M & S Bra's with out a problem what is, very important is correct fitting Bra, I got measured at a well known shop free of charge, & found I was wearing a cup size smaller!
As for Undies, I prefer Thongs or G string, never had a problem with seem sores, but then again not much seems really.

I just completed a 10 month adventure wearing 2 Anita Active Sports Bras and 4 pairs of ExOfficio underwear. I also wore a pair of Running Room shorts over the undies. All clothing held up very well and was super comfortable. I purchased these in Canada.
