Triumph Dattona 1200
Gday from Sunny australia. First post looking forward to browsing the site.
Question, any Triumph Daytona 1200 owners out there? I've fallen for a 1996 Daytona 1200, and at the moment my heart and head are fghting it out. On the plus side its a 1 owner, full service history, log books, looks like its just rolled out the showroom. On the down side its its travelled 93500Km, about 58k miles. What problems am I buying into if I go ahead an purchase this bike, any info appreciated. The bike is really only going to be a weekend toy, wouldn't be doing more than 150-200ks per week. Love the 1200
Hello Ross
While I can't speak to the daytona I have a 1996 Trophy 1200 and I believe it is the same engine. First off I love the bike, it has more power than I can justify which makes it about right. The only downside is the fuel economy sucks and balancing the carbs can be a bit of a problem. Aside from that change the oil, oil the chain and ride. Have fun Rick |
