me and 4 of my friends are planning a world trip and we need 4 bikes. i really like the varadero 125 and i know a lot of people will tell me i will wont more power but the varadero has shown itself to be very capable of on and off road (different tyres). we think that the weight of this bike would benefit us a lot in case we drop it or get stuck in mud or sand but with them being a bit beefier and a nice comfy seat they would be easier to ride for great distances rather than a crosser. plus we are all students so we are trying to keep the fuel and insurance cost as low as possible without skimping out on the bike.
what does anyone reckon ? |

Varadero is a very decent bike - not sure how it would hold up on a worldwide trip...I suspect it would do the job just fine.
Simon Gandolfi did a very long trip on a small cc bike-check out his site Welcome - simongandolfi |

For a small 125cc bike ,i would go for it.
Good luck and let us know how things are going. Minimalist Touring Thread (250cc and under) - Page 252 - ADVrider Saludos. |

![]() Check out the Derbi Terra Adventure too. A bit more off-road focussed than the Vara, but still very comfortable. Spares I would have thought would be OK as they're part of Piaggio Group, oh and they are a bit cheaper too. I might be a bit biased though, as I own one.
