I knew about the capitals = shouting convention but I've not been aware of the exclamation marks = something offensive rule. Must have come close to slapped wrists a few times myself then.
Anyway, welcome to Tom and good luck with the trip. I've done 4500 miles (London - Tangiers area and back) in two weeks using your route through France and Spain so 6000 in three weeks should be doable but I do remember spending a lot
of time on the bike. Unless you want to see a lot of European motorways you might consider taking a shortcut via the ferry to Spain. That'll cut 2/3 off the distance to southern Spain, save you about four days and if you allow for the saving in motorway tolls, fuel, tyres etc may be cheaper than you think.
Another vote for using Chris Scott's book once you're in Morocco. You might want to spend a happy hour or two looking through the back posts in the Morocco section here. If you haven't visited the country before some of it might not make sense but Morocco can be a bit of a culture shock so the more background info you have the easier it might be.
