Hello live in Alberta Canada and enjoy travelling via motorcycle. Currently ride a 2013 Suzuki DL650A Adv model. Long time motorcyclist, having ridden for approx. 40 yrs, worked previously as a MSF instructor, owned gold wings, Harleys, BMW and just recently downsized to a lighter bike.

We usually have room for a couple of folks if you are passing through. Just check ahead.

Our current location is Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

I apologize for posting this late as I joined the group in Mar/2013 but have had a busy year with family issues, so just got around to posting.

Welcome cycleman!

Lethbridge is a convenient location to live in, close to Waterton and Glacier and some great riding. Hope to see you on the road or at an HU meeting sometime. It's a nice rip over to Nakusp on the Crowsnest as you know and the Canada West meeting is in August every year which is good place to catch up with a bunch of fellow bikers.

You're right Lethbridge is a good location for bike riding, close to many good rides for day trips. Our only issue is the wind, but then we can't have everything. We moved here about 3 yrs ago, coming from flat Sasktachewan.

Been out through BC to the coast & island a few times via bike over the years. My first bike road trip to the island was in 1979 I believe, on a first generation gold wing. I also belong to the BMW Airhead group and we have a rally in Midway BC every year and the last couple of years I've made a stop at the Nakusp BC Beemer rally as well.

This year in July the boss & I made a bike trip to San Fransisco and up the Oregon Coast. She'd never been to San Fran and I stopped there on a bike road trip a couple of years ago ( came up # 1 from the Mexican border ) so I always told her I take her to San Fran and then finish up the ride on # 1 Hwy. We where out in BC I think 4 times this year, but only got as far as Vernon

Does the HUBB rally in August use the same campground in Nakusp?

hello Mountain Man and Cycleman

I happen to be in Cape Town now about to head off on a biking adventure looping around Africa by turning left at Kenya ... Just bought an 05 650 Dakar here with 5000 km. on it for 43000 rand, about $4,500 or so. Waiting for my son to join me now from Australia and for him to find a bike.
I live in a little Bay of Fundy rural area in Nova Scotia if you are passing through...and any other Hubbers with some notice can usually supply a bed and space in my barn. Great riding area around here.

Larry

I see you live or used to live in Iqaluit. I was up there about 15 years ago with respect to business. Also I'm originally from Nova Scotia so one never knows where he'll be in the future.

Enjoy your ride.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
