Location does not appeared changed in the threads.

Hi,

I have changed several times my Location. It changes in my profile, but not in the posts I write. I think it is because fo the changes in the site. Anyone experiencing the same? I hope it helps in your hard task.

Eventhough the (small) problems like log in, congratulations for your efforts to improve your amazing site. Looks great in a smartphone, great for travellers.

Regards,

Esteban

I noticed the same thing a few weeks ago.

I sent an Email/PM to them about it through the "contact me directly" link above.
Grant replied in a short time saying it was a new query to them and would look into it.
A few hours later he contacted me again saying the matter had been fixed.

It had - at least for me, as my changed full location appearing against my posts now agrees with my profile.
But not for you it seems.

If it is not picked up via this thread, I suggest you contact them direct.

Grant works very hard providing us with this great facility.
Invariably 'glitches' occur - but tell him and he will do all he can to resolve them.

Thank you for the answer, Tony P, I totally agree. We all have to thank Grant and Susan for creating HU and HUBB.

I decided to start the thread in case it could help if it happened to other people but nobody said it. In my case, not a big issue... but I would like to mention my hometown in Spain!

When I said "fixed" I meant specifically Tony's issue!

There IS an issue with changing locations - currently it can only be done by me manually. When you change it, it changes in one system but not the other - the one that displays it to you!

As noted in several places, our recent upgrade went very wrong, and we are working on our development server to correct it. But, as usual with this stuff it all takes time - lots of it. with nay luck the changes will be ready for rollout in 2-3 weeks.

In the meantime, contact me - see "Contact Horizons..." at the bottom of every page and give me your user name and changes needed.

Or go direct to: Webmaster Feedback

It may take a while as we are on the road to events, but it will get done!

and thanks for all the nice comments, it's much appreciated - we DO try hard!

Thanks for your reply, Grant.

No worries, my location won't change for a long while and can easily wait 2-3 weeks or 2-3 months!

Great changes usually require great efforts, so time for us to give you a greater support... The outcome will sure be great as well!

Take care and (please try to) enjoy the weekend,

Esteban
