Shipping Vehicle from SA to Europe - costs & contacts guide
Having spent the past 4 months driving from the UK to Africa, and having used this forum to obtain a lot of really usefull information, it's only fair that I contribute something back, so I have compiled information from the labourious task of trying to ship the Landrover back to the U.K.
I hope this info is helpful to someone out there who is shipping either a bike or 4x4 from South Africa to Europe.

Great write up, thanks for sharing that.
 Im looking at the possibility of shipping a truck from Mombassa to UK, dont think the Kenyans are gonna play as clearly as the Saffers.....loads of hidden extras I bet.

Hi, Ive contacted Wilhelmsen about shipping and have to say they are very good at comms, all the other shipping companies I have tried are really slow.
But I have a question. Can anybody decipher this for me: Ocean Freight Rate : USD 65.00 w/m FLT Plus Tariff BAF : 23% (subject to increase/carriers tariff at the time of shipment) The bit I am confused about is USD 65.00 w/m FLT What does the w/m FLT stand for? If I read the guide posted here before it is obviosuly referring to the vehicle dimensions....but still not sure what those letters stand for. Any help much appreciated.
