shipping from the states to europe

Hola, coming autumn I would like to ship my bike from the eastcoast of america to the netherlands. I have heard negative sounds of prices, telling me that I can only hire a full container if I ship from the states. Costing about 3000 dollar. I shippid my bike to peru for US$ 400, big difference. Can anybody tell me more? does anybody have a contact for me in New York, Miami, or any other big city on the eastcoast.

I shipped with a roll on roll off ship from wallenius wilhelmsen from zeebrugge to los angeles.they go from the east coast back to europe as well, and you don't have to crate, just ride your bike up to their office.
chaep and good service, I paid 600 euros one way.
hope this will help,
