Need to ship a motorbike from South Korea to Vancouver or Seattle

Hey there

My name is Chris and I'm from Austria. I'm currently planning my round-the-world trip which should start in late June.

I struggle to arrange the transport of my bike from South Korea to North America. Can anyone recommend a company that could ship my bike from South Korea to either Vancouver or Seattle? Or do you have contact details of a reliable agent who could take care of that? Air freighting would be preferred.

A few weeks ago I contacted a couple of companies, including Schenker Korea and Korea Express, but got no replies.

Thanks for your help.

Best
Chris

Hey Chris,

It's a pretty common routing for shipping so you will be able to find some detailed information here on this site. Try the shipping section first and then perhaps the regional forums for a thread topic that catches your eye.

It's not the easiest site to search but along with using google and designating horizons unlimited in the search function, you'll get the hang of it and the skills are useful for finding additional information for other regions you will be travelling to.

By memory, I think the most common airline used is Korean Airlines.

Happy planning.

Hey guys

thank you very much for your help. Searching the site with google makes things a lot easier.

I'll get in touch with Wendy. She seems to enjoy some kind of legendary status here.

Best
Chris
