lithium batteries and airlines
hmmmm,
just been told i might have a problem with my bike battery being a lithium, just bought it as well , ![]() anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it. ![]() flying from Australia to Maylasia. worst case scenario i suppose ,i might have to buy another one in Maylaysia cheers Clive |

Pretty hard to tell it's lithium from a cursory inspection
and there relative rarity makes that question unlikely.
Also, the lithiums used in vehicle batteries are NOT lithium-ion like a laptop battery. They're lithium iron and alot more chemically stable. But . . . common knowledge is that "lithium is lithium". You'll be fine unless you draw attention to it.
