All steel crate available in Vancouver now 15th May 2013

Hello
I have available a large all steel motorcycle shipping crate. I would appreciate a donation toward the cost of building it but if anyone is strapped for cash they can have it. It is probably the best crate you will ever see but it does need a little repair where customs opened it up with a crowbar (despite the fact one end is removable for access). It just needs 2 small welds and some pop rivets to fix it.

Painted steel chassis covered with coated steel roofing sheet so no problems with quarantine, fumigation etc.

It has a Harley Road King Base with a wheel guide and stops in the centre.
It also has tie down points and forklift points through the sides and one end.

It will fit a big touring with panniers on or probably two dirt bikes top and tail with bars and panniers removed.
Its EXTERNAL dimensions are 117cm wide, 145 cm high, 269 cm long.

To give some indication it cost us approx US$700 to ship our bike in it from Melbourne Australia to Vancouver by sea.

PM me if you are interested.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
