My friends rode from USA to Argentina without a Carnet in 2000 and said they had no problem. This time (very soon) they are flying down to Argentina and riding back and I will join them. They are not taking Carnets as of right now.
I am very interested to know if you really need one to get the bike into Argentina (Buenos Aires) by sea. I would like to not have one so that I have the option of leaving the bike in SA if I really need to. ANyone know about this? please help thanks
