Rabat, Morocco - what should I be arranging here?

Dear All,

So here's the situation, I've just arrived in Morocco at the beginning of Jan, I've got a month in the country and will depart once I've run the Marrakech Marathon on Jan 28th and once this has finished I'll be travelling down the west coast to Cape Town.

My question is "What paperwork should I be trying to organise here in Morocco in advance of travelling down the coast to make the whole journey a lot easier for ourselves?"

Onward visa for Mauritania is definate, but which other ones from the following countries can I organise from Rabat/Casablanca:

Mali, Burkina, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, DRC, Congo, Angola

There's a single document I've heard rumours about which covers several countries in West Africa and having searched this forum now can't find anything about it somehow!??

Be really good to hear any thoughts on this as I'm off in 16 days!! Awesome

Ben

Thanks Dave, I've already sorted the carnet which is currently winging its way to me from the ADAC in Germany. Can't wait to see it!

I was referring more to the visas which the two of us will need for some of the countries and if its best to get them sorted in advance of arriving at certain border posts.

I was thinking visas for Mauri, Nigeria and possibly others could be organised in Rabat?

Hope you can help out,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I've never heard of a single visa to cover a group of countries.
If it exists, then someone on here will let you know when they read this.

I suggest you:

a. Do an internet search for the various countries that you want to pass through, for their latest regulations.

b. See which ones have an Embassy in Rabat or even in Morocco.

Good luck,
