Libya - guide needed?
Hello all
I'd be grateful for advice whether an official guide is necessary in order to transverse Libya from Egypt to Tunisia. A South African friend is riding Durban to Dublin smashy and nicey voice on <<<< fer charrity >>>>> smashey and nicey voice off He has been quoted 20,000 SAR for the use of an official guide for the day or two he'll be crossing Libya. Any knowledge re this? Looking at FCO web site it may be that as long as you keep to the 2 official border crossings you may be OK. advice welcome, thanks
