Honduras permit and C.A. scenario
I am seeking advice on the following scenario.
Last fall we rode 2 KLR from US to Honduras...the bikes are resting on the Island of Roatan at the moment....2 problems.... the owner of one of the bikes cannot make it back down to pick it up and ride to to US.....SO another rider friend is comign along to pick up his bike....the title etc is not in the riders name.....we have drafted up a fancy looking rental agreement thinking this may help get thru borders...but any other advice is greatly appreciated second....our import permits expired a few weeks ago...and we will need to get an extension......yeah seems it may be another ha$$le...?.....feedback pleace,,,,cheers, Jeff

I think that they also look for a notorised document giving permission of the owner to the person who is renting the vehicle. So you may need some more fancy creative work on the PC, with fake stamps and the like.
As for over the time limit, seems like $$$ to me.
